Simon has worked in the commercial insurance industry for over 14 years, starting his career with Sun Alliance and latterly working for national broker – Marsh.

Simon has detailed working knowledge of all aspects of commercial insurance with a particular strength in professional indemnity, construction and the leisure sector.

Jan is responsible for client service for Creative Risk Solutions and acts as account director on a portfolio of clients. Jan has worked in the commercial insurance industry for over 25 years.Her career involved a period as an associate director of Sedgwick James (now Marsh) and prior to Creative Risk Solutions spent 13 years as a director of Aon, based in Wales and the South West.

Jan's expertise includes the following sectors - media, healthcare, education and construction.

Martin has worked as an insurance broker for over 30 years and has considerable experience of arranging insurance programmes in many diverse industries.

Particular expertise includes food and drink, and manufacturing and engineering businesses.

Martin started his career with Sun Alliance before moving to Zurich Insurance. However most of his career has been spent with Aon in Cardiff working as a Senior Client Manager in the Corporate Division, where he developed a close working relationship with his client base, which included many well known local and national business names.

Derwyn played 19 times for Wales, played for the World XV and the Barbarians. His career spanned nearly 200 games for Cardiff, over 8 years which included captaining the team for extensive periods. He later went on to manage Cardiff RFC and the Ospreys Rugby team

In addition to the above, he has extensive experience as a broadcaster for BBC, and for S4C as a commentator / summariser and recently was appointed by S4C to commentate on the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France, culminating with commentary on the final between South Africa and England.  

As a result Derwyn has excellent experience of the TV and broadcasting industry, which assists in his role within the  Media Insurance section of Creative Risk Solutions.

Stuart has nearly thirty years experience in the Insurance industry, having previously worked as a Commercial Underwriter for General Accident and the Guardian Royal Exchange before spending the last 19 years as a broker, specialising in mid to large commercial risks. In 2006, he was Managing Director of a broking company that was voted the 10th Best Company to work for in the Uk, published in the Sunday Times Awards.

Stuart joined Creative in 2008 and has responsibility for the sustainable and profitable future growth of the Company.

Cefyn has over 20 years experience both as a director and senior underwriter. Cefyn joined the Financial Lines Department – a specialist division of Creative Risk Solutions- dealing with professional exposures including:

Professional Indemnity, Directors and Corporate Liability, Employment Practices, Crime and Trustee Protection, Defamation and Risk Management.

Cefyn has been responsible for establishing a number of successful product schemes for a diverse range of clients and after many years in the London and Irish markets the opportunity to engineer bespoke coverage for home grown companies was one not to be missed.

Richard brings vast experience of client servicing, technical knowledge and programme design to the Creative Risk Solutions team.

Richard’s career in the insurance industry spans over 30 years, initially with the Norwich Union as an underwriter and section leader and latterly with Aon in Cardiff and Bristol in a senior client support and broking role.

He joined Creative Risk Solutions with responsibilities which include portfolio management, broking and admin support to corporate clients, including a large client base in the construction sector.

John is responsible for a portfolio of clients providing technical, broking and admin support. John is also the designated underwriter on our major Liability facility.

John’s experience in the commercial insurance industry spans over 35 years. A major part of his career was spent with the Royal and Sun Alliance where his roles included Chief Underwriting Superintendent, Market Manager and Branch Manager, Cardiff.

In 2000, John joined a national broker in Cardiff where he utilised his skills and knowledge providing support to multinational and local clients including major business in the media, food and drink and manufacturing sectors.

John is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a former President of the Cardiff Insurance Institute.

Rob has held various positions within the Insurance industry since leaving University. He started his career as an Account Handler at Heath Lambert before relocating to the City of London to work for Zurich Global Corporate UK, where he specialised in working on policies for large US liability and Directors and Officers risks. Joining the Jelf group as an Account Manager in 2005. Rob dealt with SME clients across the South West and Wales.

Rob's role in Creative Risk Solutions involves broking and servicing to Corporate clients

With responsibility for all office operations, Jane specialises in events and marketing initiatives for the Creative Group. Jane has extensive senior management experience in a variety of industries including the recruitment sector.

Jane joined the Group in 2007 , and is an important member of the management team, ensuring that the highest standards of service are provided across the Group.

Julie has responsibility for managing and developing the financial operations of the business. Working for over 20 years in finance within the business, Julie has considerable experience at all levels, the last 8 years as Finance Controller and Director where she was responsible for financial controls and compliance, financial reporting as well as Strategic financial planning and measurement.

Julie has project managed and implemented a number of large Practice Management, quality and costing systems, demonstrating her skills in managing change across an organisation. As a Chartered Management Accountant Julie brings a wide range of skills to the business.
